unpredictable insulin receptiveness

Hi all
For the past week or so I’ve been unable to gauge how much insulin to take because blood sugar has been low (around 5-6) and body unusually receptive to insulin. The dose I would usually take (1 unit for every 10g carbs) has been sending me straight into hypo. I have reduced QA by around 50% and haven’t had spikes after meals. Sounds great but it’s really hard to gauge how much to give myself (and I’ve been feeling really exhausted, falling asleep all the time). Has anyone else experienced similar? I’ve been diagnosed with T1 for around 11 months.

Unfortunately T1D and our insulin requirements are not static. Part of the joys of our condition.

Sorry to answer a question with more questions however

1. Have you been more active recently?
2. Lost weight?

These are just 2 of the many factors that can effect BGL and insulin requirement.

To more directly answer the question - yes i have experienced similar (coincidently around the same time as you).

5-6 is a great level for alot of people! But don’t ignore targets set by your team if they want yours higher.
