Urgent translation question, not diabetes related

To be fair, I'd trust your instincts. Your English language skills are way better than most British or American people I know!

I do know my limitations though, and they lie right at the edge of the gravel path!

I regularly write something and know it's just not quite right, even if it isn't exactly wrong either. And the amount of words I have to choose from is much smaller than a native speaker has.
