Hi,

My mum 46, was diagnosed with UTI a few months ago and had undergone treatments. But even after that she frequently gets infected again. Is there a way to treat this? Because of this her serum ceratinine count has shoot up to 3.4. Can you please advise effective remedies?

Has your mother been checked for any kidney problems or blocked urinary path. I am not a doctor but know from my dad that suffers with his kidneys that a high serum creatinine count is one of the indicators of this.

Yes, the was a stent put while she was admitted because due to high infection the pus had put too much pressure on both kidneys and this stent was removed after about a fortnight. initially her serum creatinine counts was about 5 and by the time of her discharge(was hospitalized for about 9 days) the count dropped to 3.2.

But now after about 60 days after the treatment, she occasionally still has chills and lower back pains and vomiting. And now her serum creatinine is 3.4

Has she been seen by her doctor since the 3,4 reading. What is his opinion. If not she should go back as it is a high up normal reading that should be looked into.
