This may have been answered before, but can't find it. Can I use a foot spa now I have type 2 and on tablets? Thanks.
Doug

Hi Doug,
Cannot see a problem with using a foot spa. We have to look after our feet. Relax and enjoy.
Catherine.

I think that the general advice has been that diabetics should not use a footspa, but this is only so that the manufacturer is protecting himself, this is in case a diabetic is at risk of burning themselves by using too hot water, for example if you suffer neuropathy and cant sense the temperature.
I know loads of people, diabetics that enjoy using their footspa, just make sure you dry your feet properly and between the toes and use a good moisturiser afterwards (and dont even think of ever walking with fresh moisturised feet on a wooden floor, I have been stupid enough to do that and went flying DOH!)

All the best

Karen

Thanks Catherine and Karen,
that is good news then! I take the point Karen about problem of burning feet so will be careful to make sure water is not too hot.
Happy readings,
Doug.
