Using jelly babies during exercise..any negative effects?

I hope you put the out of their misery quickly.

I always bite the heads off first, thinking it is a quick death, but then I am haunted by the image of being thrust, head first, into a huge mouth, with the teeth coming down like great white guillotine blades... shudder.
