Hi
I've been type 2 for over 10 yrs appx (can't be bothered to work it out).
For the newly diagnosed I would like to say that it seemed like the end of my useful life at first but now I hardly notice it. I am fitter, now, as a result, running 20 -25 mile per week. (No you don't have to do that - I chose to about a year ago and reduced my tablets as a result) You will feel depressed unless you are very exceptional but it will pass.
Also, I only found diabetes.co.uk and this forum yesterday but I have already discovered sensible and factual information that it took me years to discover elsewhere. Why do the medics seem so very reluctant to quote figures? So thanks to whoever is responsible.
