Have they given you any kind of dietary advice? Like swapping to whole versions if things? Like granary bread, brown rice Etc? insulin really isn't that bad for a short term thing, you will prob be put back on metformin as soon as baby is born, once the placenta has been delivered you start to go back to how you were before pretty much straightaway! I was in two different insulin a, a rapid one for mealtimes and one for nighttime. Just a word of advice though, educate everyone around you invade you have a hypo! I asked my mum what she'd do if I had a hypo and she said try and give me insulin which of course would have prob finished me off! Lol
Honestly, please don't panic. I'm not going to lie, it's hard work and its something you prob wish you didn't have but you have a lot of control with this xxx
