Hi all, I am not new to diabetes, 30 years but have just found this website.
About a month ago I suffered a viterious haemorrhage, I was signed off work for 30 days. I have been resting as advised and my vision has improved slightly, my question is I am due to go back to work on Monday, I.work at a pc for 8 hours a day, on Wednesday I am due to see my doctor for my fit for work chit, does anyone think I would be better. Off asking my gp for more time off work or do I.just get on with my life now and put up with the lack of vision and blood squiggles ? Thank you for reading and hopefully helping me xx

hi there.

Welcome to the forum

My advice would be to to be frank with your doc on Weds. If you are not ready to go back, tell them. If it's nerves re going back, tell them.

work with the GP to decide what is best in your recuperation. Phased return should also be an option, where the GP can advise you return on shorter hours or restrict your duties, (ie not so long in front of PC)if its possible.
