just wanted know if anyone gets pain in thier calf's while walking, I only got to speed up a bit and my left calf kills.any ideas :?: thanks alot ,dave
I will briefly tell you my story as a warning of what may happen.
As I said I was dismasted for a month and slowly recovered. My nurse then said she had a new statin which, to her knowledge had never caused problems. The calf went again but quicker this time. more time in the armchair. A third statin made my body go rigid and I had to attend physio classes to try and get me mobile again. A fourth statin gave me something similar to gastro enteritis and I had to take acid blockers and something like Gaviscon for a few weeks. My nurse does not give up easily.
I am off all statins now due to my violent reaction to them.
I wish you luck with the good times you have ahead.

It's be worth asking your GP. It might well be nothi to worry about, but better safe than sorry and all that. You could, in the meantime, try using some deep heat and/or deep freeze to make things a little more comfortable.
We could all guess but you really are better off going to your docs.
I don't know if you have been given statins as a precautionary measure because you have diabetes or if you have any history of high blood pressure with heart problems. If so what you are describing could be a condition called intermittent claudication which can be a sign of vascular disease.
Hopefully it is something easily rectifiable but better to get checked out sooner rather than later.
