Type of diabetes
Type 2
I wish I could have seen this 10 years ago I would have been more strict with my diet instead of relying on metformin and still eating some sugar and a lot of carbs.I did lose about 25 kg but didn't toss the carbs.Even though my hba1c has been under 6.2 since diagnosis
Similar to my previous posting from this guy but much more detail and understanding

I wonder if any have followed this and obtained reversible results.
Some did reply on my previous post.

Yes I am a great admirer of Dr Fung and have followed his ways of eating (and not eating) and have considerable success in both weight loss and lowering blood sugar. In my opinion one of the modern superstars in medicine.

So what do we do now?Do we tell our doctors they are all wrong and even though our numbers may be good it doesn't matter cuz we still insulin resistant.
And I am always in trouble anyway with them for this sort of thing.

Good story .
Pity we only see these things years later.
I have reduced my carbs ,blood sugar if falling like a ,so we will see what happens.
Carbs are so addictive though and I think these dietary extremes are a bit too extreme for the obese diabetic newly diagnosed.

Very informative.

Good to see that 90% of people with type 2 diabetes could completely come off insulin and other medication within a few weeks by essentially fasting and eating a very low carb diet.

To much sugar and carbs cause insulin to be created which causes fat to be deposited in the liver and eventually also in the pancreas which causes insulin resistance in the body and high blood sugar. The solution is to reduce this by getting the body to burn off the fat in the liver and reversing diabetes.

I have been fasting each morning until lunchtime over the weekend. I think I will try to extend this a bit longer and see how it goes.

You will find quite a number of Dr Fung's fans on this forum.

His blog is treasure trove for T2D, and some of it rather hilarious

Hopefully more medical professional will join his journey.
