Hi guys... I'm getting married in July. .. but I'm getting terrible nerves already and its 3 months away yet.. I want to know if there is anything I can take for nerves with Type 1 Diabetes without it affecting my bloods before the big day. I get the worst nerves ever.... my mum says that I should ask my Diabetes doctor at the clinic next week. .. Please help

Im in the same Boat! 2 weeks away for me now! i avoid any of those sorts of medicines as they make me feel a little out of control. i just try to distract myself in other ways

You should ask your GP .....

Try divorcing (no pun intended) one event from the other. Not easy but put your condition in one basket and your upcoming event in the other.

..... and condition yourself to accepting that separation ....

I wish you well

Mum knows best, ask your gp for something to calm your nerves.

Good luck and best wishes to you and also @itconor.

There may be some things you can try which don't involve drugs. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy is a technique that tries to adjust your outlook on things that are causing you anxiety.

When I get a bit anxious about things I use rescue remedy, obviously if your nerves are really bad I imagine you will need something stronger, don't actually know if rescue remedy is proven to work or if it's just all in the mind but does the trick for me
