The last seagoing passenger carrying paddle
steamer in the world, "The Waverley".
Built on the River Clyde in 1946,
and still sailing the River Clyde in 2013.

See the wee man in blue where the arrow is pointing.
Well, In 1955 "A wiz goin' doon the watter furra ferrr fortnight,
and I stood on that very spot as a young boy, watching in
amazement as the big paddle swished round and round.

I can still hear that big paddle going round and round as it swooshed
the water.
Soooo sad....Innocent days, all but gone and left us forever

Get the hankies out. lol

you can hear the engine.built in Greenock for PS Waverley. (I saw the ship many times and the River Clyde holds great memories)
