My overall cholestrol is high - 7. My HDL has gone up to 1.4
and my trigs are 0.51.
My LDL is 5 BUT the standard cholesterol test does not give a breakdown of LDL and my understanding is that this can be broken down into harmful and non harmful. My bs is now at non diabetic levels in the day but always prediabetic as fasting
I have lost 4 stone since last January eating lchf.
For me this means:
Brekkie: 1 sausage or kippers and 2 eggs
Lunch: now couple of pieces of cheese and 2 small handfuls of nuts
3pm 2 handfuls of nuts
Dinner: meat or fish and veg cooked in butter or with a cream sauce or a salad with olive oil. My salads are always made up of avocado, olives, cherry tomatoes, feta and cucumber.
Sometimes: chocolate mug cake made with ground almonds or frozen berries and cream for homemade ice cream.
Couple of squares of very dark choccie.
Half a bottle of wine per week.
