My doctor put me on Ozempic, then Saxenda. Horrendous side effects, far too horrible to deal with and leave you feeling like death. Steel your resolve. No more bread, no cakes, no more processed food. Took myself off to Slimming World in mid April. Have eaten no bread since. Some oatcakes yes and the wonderful griddle oat bread I found in some SW recipes. No more butter or margarine, no jams. Here I am, mid April to end of June two and a quarter stones lighter, one and three quarters left to go to get to my target of 12 stone! Loving no processed food, loving the very generous recipes I've found in Slimming World Books, feeling much better. I do a SW breakfast, usually loaded with fresh fruits and mid afternoon a SW dinner which is both filling and completely delicious. Have as many coffees/teas as I like and loads of cucumber & mint water or lemon water. I can honestly say hunger has not been a problem. To hell with Saxenda and Ozempic - the gateways to hell! My blood sugar readings are all now within normal range. I used to hate meat, it now tastes good again but I hate the cruelty to animals involved so trying SW vegan recipes with things like tofu and Quorn. I'm hooked - and not on giving myself injections. Steely resolve. No more processed food - if it's processed don't touch it. No cakes, no biscuits, no bread, no butter or Marg and no artificial sugars. Fresh fruit has all you need and on SW you can eat loads. That's my experience of these weight loss injections. The side effects are truly horrible, I thought I was on the way out! No, no, no!!
