What are you doing now and humorous banter.

I got on well with my in-laws although my f-i-l was a real trial after my m-i-l died last year; not that I blame him, he was angry and grieving and took it out on everybody around him. As many of you will know, he died a few weeks after his wife and, with the benefit of a bit of distance, we can see that it was the best thing for him and - I confess it freely - for Mrs h-c and me. In any event, I got on much better with them than with my dad who, at 91 is still around and not always a very nice person, but c'est la vie.

Oh I didnt get on well with mother but my dad was a different story. Both passed away in 2011 - 8 weeks between them.

I guess yesterday's visit wasnt as bad as it could be. I think after nearly 15 years they are mellowing hee hee

Well it's another beautiful day here in the Black Country.

I'm expecting my youngest daughter to come for Sunday lunch along with 2 tiny terrors. The wee one Ava-May has been clinging like a limpet to hubby for the past couple of weeks so the rest of the family have had to put up with my cooking .

And hubby off to another tribute concert tonight - I think something to do with Marillion. So I'm home alone with a shed load of fruit and the tv of my choice.

(Finished my book but have another to start plus the gazillions I've bought recently from the charity shop)

I wish you all a good day

Cauliflower macaroni cheese here, one of our favourites. Had watercress at lunch so put a few stems in a jar of water and if they root I’ll try them in the pond.

Mornin’ Clive, hope the Heathrow and London roads stay clear for you.

Good Evening Fairygodmother, yes roads were very good and now home with molly56,who cooked me my favourite meal Lambs liver with crispy bacon, green beans and carrot batons,as I’ve gone down with a heavy head cold it has done me good( one or two of the ladies had bad colds on th our so it was almost inevitable I was going to get it too.....

Night night all. Bedtime. Sorry to hear about your cold Clive and envying the meal you two shared. I think it’ll be liver and bacon here too next week, just for me, as him indoors doesn’t like it.
