My partner and I decided to test our bloods before and 2 hours after tonight's meal. Just so you know I am T2 and she isn't diabetic.

Mine 4.6 before and 6.5 2hrs after
Hers 4.9 before and 7.5 2hrs after.

We have eaten the same food and drink.

After 5 weeks of low carb and losing weight all my bloods are coming in within the normal range with the exception of my waking one.

Well done, T think the waking one is often the last to normalise so keep going and you may well reverse your diabetes. Good luck.

Good morning at 6am my reading was 5.7

It can be a huge help.

Shame not everyone has months to resettle their damaging high bgs.
I didn't. My consultant put me on insulin as I'd waited months to see him. All the while damage from very high bgs pre this forum.

Just remember - you can reduce insulin or even get rid of it's therapy.
Nothing is permanent these days, it seems.

I'm realistic and know it works for some, not all. However low carbing helps type2s, for sure.
