A quick google tells me it’s heparin. Have you had a blood clot? Are you at high risk of one?
It may be worth discussing all medication with the doctor before you start taking them and you could read the patient information leaflet too which will tell you what it’s for, how to take it, when not to take it, contraindications and warnings.
