Hi Lemonie. You will find 'ideal' blood sugar figures here on the forum somewhere. I think the ideal figures for T2 are between 4-7 fasting and no more than 7-8 2 hours after eating. I was like you, had really high BM's before I started on the low/no carb regime. I've since lost 7 stone, and my BM's never go higher than 6!! I eat no starchy carbs - bread, pasta, rice etc, just keep to smaller portions and eat protein, veg and drink plenty. NOT alcohol, I might add.
