I purchased a bag of mixed seeds today: sunflower, pumpkin, linseed, sesame, and ate two tablespoonsful and a small handful of blueberries, double cream, and sprinkling of sweetener. They tasted really good. I could so easy have got carried away and eaten another bowl. What is the approved amount on a low carb diet?

Hi @MrsA2 can be so bold as to ask what your 3 tablespoons a day are?
I'm currently going for 20 g Chia seeds in 100 g strong black coffee (2 teaspoon) cocoa (1 heaped teaspoon) 75 g yogurt, linseed (2 teaspoon) and 25 g peanut butter. It seems to be helping me but it's early days. Trail ends in 2024 I think.... will need to check.

Thank you Andydragon for replying to my post. It was only after I posted that the penny dropped and I realised that it all depends on the amount of carbs I choose to spend. On the back of the pack it says 100 grams = 11 carbs, so 50 grams, which looks to be a reasonable amount in the dish, would be 5.1/2 carbs, so I shall go along with this.

Varies.
If needed for laxative 2-3 heaped tablespoons of milled with yoghurt and berries (can be prepared night before and eaten as a thick porridge type breakast). Or divided into 2 -3 portions and spread out through the day.
I can cope with chia seeds best this way.
Or in a slice or 2 of cheesy soda bread, or 90 second bread
Have a nice recipe for brownies made with chia seed
Must admit I'd don't like the texture of seeds when mixed with water or liquid.
Whole seed get sprinkled onto cheese slices and zapped in microwave to make cheese crisps,
Milled seeds and seasoning get used as coatings for chicken or fish
Either whole or milled get made into granola bars or mixed with nuts as hm granola
