Welcome @fletton I think you will find lovers and haters of all meters, and can't comment on either of those I'm afraid, but I think the comments on here for the accu-chek mobile are, for the most part, very positive. I personally love it, and have no intention of changing as it is completely self contained (strips, meter and lancets etc) and means I pick one item up when I leave the house. I don't know how accurate it is, but was spot on when I tested with a control solution last time. Accuracy is another topic that has been "done to death" and whilst I would like a tolerance of +/- 0.01 mmols, it simply isn't going to happen, so I use just one brand, and don't over analyse. Personally, if I were to test now and my BG was 5, or 6, I wouldn't treat myself any differently. If it was 15, 16 or 17, I would correct with the same amount of insulin, so a tolerance of 20% is good enough for me on a day to day basis.
Before moving to a pump I was using the Accu-Chek Aviva Expert, it has a built-in bolus calculator and is a good little meter, the Contour USB metres are good too and worth a try.
