I currently take Novo mix insulin along with Metformin SR.
My problem lies with the metformin, it makes me feel ill! I feel bloated , sick, and more recently I have a lack of appetite, I hate the stuff!!
I have not taken metformin for over a week now and all side effects have gone, however my sugar readings have shot up due to me not taking it.
I'm not what you call a model diabetic, but was wondering what other diabetic regimes could be available. I did speak to my diabetic nurse who just advised me to continue with the metformin as it was a good drug, but I now feel that my quality of life is being affected by the side effects of this wonderful drug!
any thoughts?
