Whenever I do some exercise, such as cycle for 5 miles or so, I more often than not get a hypo 10/15 minutes afterwards. I normally have a banana before exercise if my blood sugars are at a good level. I can never quite get the balance right.
What does anyone suggest having to eat to keep my blood sugars consistent after exercise?
This is going to sound daft but I find the Ella's kitchen fruit sachets really good (yes baby food!) it's fruit but mashed up so it goes in quicker, might be something you could try right after exercising... Might not be something to the with you into the gym though..
@jord_91, have you tried making adjustments to your insulin to avoid the hypo's, if your exercising within a couple of hours of bolusing then reduce your bolus dose to see if this stops or reduces the amount of hypo's.
As well as bananas I often eat oat bars if out exercising for a long period of time.
