My wife and I have just celebrated our 32 anniversary.

Having had good second week encouragement from my Dr today with a weekly BS average of 4.65, I celebrated with a lovely prawn cocktail and a very large Rib Eye steak and salad, all washed down with sparkling water, ice and lime....wonderful.

I am now waiting with bated breath until 9pm to see what my blood thought of it.

I'll report back shortly.

It's good to see that you're having success so soon after your diagnosis, but you may consider trying to look at the broader picture rather than worry about each individual reading. That can set you up for disappointment (however, I'm sure you post count on this forum will eventually be tremendous).

Congrats on the wedding anniversary.

Thanks Torq, I am sure you're spot on. My challenge is coping with that initial overwhelm, but I'm getting there

That said the reading was 5.5. So this being my first meal out since diagnosis, I'm feeling encouraged.

Hi KevinPotts Well done you must be over the moon, and I bet the meal was as good as it sounded too. Waiting for my 3 month results too.

A grundy, it was amazing
