What's the best Mother's Day gift you ever received?

After the death of my dad I took my 84 year old mum along to one of my bands club gigs.. She used to be a proffessional dancer.. So was a little bewildered by the heavy metal scene.. I got her "laced" on wine surprisingly served in the spit & sawdust club. & gave her some ear defenders.. & left her in the care of my wife & a few friends while we rocked out!
She loved it.! Her remark afterwards was. "You all work hard for your money don't you?"

..... I think she was expecting songs from the sound of music..!

Brilliant, rock on mum

Lol. My sister normally takes her to a nice safe "west end" show by comparison. Which reported by my sister she falls asleep half way through....
When my dad was alive a number of years ago. My wife & I went to the Rocky Horror show. Taking our seats, we were rather surprised to see my parents sat a few rows down in the audience with my mum waving wildly at us to attract attention.. We met up for the interval. But my dad hated the show.. He was into opera.

Just having him visit is enough. He was in the Army and served in Iraq, Afghan,NI, and Cyprus so he missed a lot of mothers days. He always sent flowers when he was away though
