Hi Guys,
This is a question really for us oldies diagnosed......Oct 26th 2016 and at 45 I was diagnosed with Type 1, put straight on Insulin - Consultant was in no doubt. 3 units for meals of NovoRapid and 16 units of Lantus. Was happy days for 12 months (a few severe hypos but thought this was a doddle)..Over the last 6 months the pen dial has increased steadily to get the same BG readings....currently 8-10 for meals and 22 Lantus and not seen a 5 mmol reading in months .....Question really is...and I realise I have had a nice long honeymoon. When did you know it was all over ?

Best wishes,

Mark

When my ratios went up and stayed up.
Used to have to keep adjusting my basal as my levels would crash for about a fortnight. Then they would rapidly rise again. Actually it is much easier now.

I guess I have all this to look forward to as whatever did this finally finishes me off.
