When to test

I am on Insuman Solo 25 - 74 units before breakfast and 54 units before dinner. I have been told to test my blood before breakfast and before dinner. Things are okay but I am not sure do I test before I take the Insulin or after I take it. Thank you for any advice.

Before you take your insulin. I would probably do more than 2 tests a day as well just to make sure your levels are not too high or getting too low
