Looked at the bookcase tower in our bedroom this morning and realised that the entire top shelf is now full of these kinds of books.
I'm wondering which books y'all have and do you think they are helpful ? Does reading books reassure or depress you ? Wondering if there is one book which most people have read, as well ?
Mine
The Real Meal Revolution - Professor Tim Noakes, Jonno Proudfoot, Sally-Ann Creed - lots of recipes, no nutritional info with them. The science bit is tough going in places.
Waist Disposal - Dr John Briffa - actually designed for men, really clear, great first book on losing weight.
Deliciously Ella - Ella Woodward - trendy bestseller, bought it because of the hype, really. Husband is gluten-free so may be useful.
Escape The Diet Trap Dr John Briffa - not a diet book, it's a book about dieting and why it doesn't work, basically.
Fat Chance - Dr Robert Lustig - Robert Lustig is a smart, funny New Yorker and he really knows his stuff about obesity and sugar.
Why We Get Fat - Gary Taubes - this is the mass market paperback version of Good Calories, Bad Calories and somewhat easier to read.
The Diabetes Revolution - Dr Charles Clark - it leads you step by step through cutting down on carbs as T1 or T2. Not a favourite though.
Eat. Nourish. Glow. - Amelia Freer - nutritionist to celebs including Sam Smith - gluten free bestseller (with a cookbook coming out in New Year) Very much like Deliciously Ella.
The 10 Day Detox Diet - Dr Mark Hyman - Haven't done the diet but do like his approach which is about real food.
Natural Approaches to Diabetes - Dr Sarah Brewer - discusses lots of supplements and remedies but backs up with medical studies.
