Hello!

I am looking for an equipment that can help me exercise while working on my laptop.

Any ideas?

If you mean at home, there's nothing to stop you just taking a break and doing whatever exercise you do normally.

If you're referring to employment (e.g. in the UK), try Googling Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992 for information/advice on working conditions and breaks.

Don't blame me if you bang your knees on the table - alright!

I would just get up, and go for a walk.

Work does not have exercise equipment at your desk, so why do we need this at home?

Treadmill, I put mine on it and listen to music while walking when the weather isn't cooperating.

Consider putting your laptop at a height where you can stand. That’s been my policy since COVID dictated I work from home. Has helped with my back problems and also much easier to remember to move around when there’s no chair to get out of.

Edited to correct typo

Standing from a sitting position is very good for us all, as it mobilises some major muscle groups.

There was a piece of work I've often posted about, done near to me, which had fascinating results. When the results became clear, those with desks in both the research centre and Diabetes Unit were offered the option of swapping rise and fall desks, to allow standing working. The following link is brief article summarising the paper.

If you look up Google Scholar, Dr Joe Henson is quite prolific in "lifestyle" areas

Depending on the type of exercise it may be best to turn off the laptop camera.

Apparently sitting on an exercise ball instead of a chair is good exercise. I saw it on a programme with Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall where they were getting people with sedentary lifestyles to improve how much they were moving at work, some of them had pedal exercisers instead. It's on iplayer if you're in the UK and interested (Easy Ways to Live Well, episode 3)

They are reasonable and not very expensive so far I have not banged my knees depends on the clearance you have available and of course the length of your legs and how far you can extend your legs under your desk or table .

you can as well vary the resistance felt on the pedals so your working a bit harder or less harder.

I like them but it is down to individual preference when it comes down to it.

Thanks! Do you reckon this would be my best option?

I had one of those or very similar before I bought the one I have now the adjustment screw on mine did not work very well being faulty though being able to fold it was an advantage and it was a bit lower than the one I have now . Mine worked reasonably well but not being able to adjust the resistance meant it was virtually free wheeling. ( I have to admit on reflection the one i had was the cheaper but almost the same version as the one in your link ) I have replaced it with the one I posted the picture of a little bit more expensive but I prefer it.

The one you linked to if it works properly would not be a bad choice I think.
