He was knighted in 1982

No, the eyebrows/hair/face/ear/neck have not been interfered with however, the image
"overall" was softened slightly to aesthetically please the delightful board members,
visitors, aliens, enemies, the bint on the side, the hunk on the side (whichever way you lean)
lovers, and loved one's alike, not forgetting dear old Esmeralda and her aunt Pheobe of course.

Here endeth the lesson.

The 1982 Gazzette lists a Sir Albert Edward Woodward O.B.E. Who'd a thunk.

Wikepedia calls him Edward Albert Woodward O.B.E and makes no mention of a knighthood so what are the chances it's the same bloke?

I think the eyebrows have it and since I have no other strings to my bow ...........

Edward Woodward.

In this incidence the expression doozie most definitely indicates a thumb up!

Re the new pic, it puts me in mind of shorts, sun, sea and Devon! (Miles of Devon?). Confession time- was a big fan as a much younger version of myself!

I think it's ...

... David Hasselhoff

As soon as I saw it I thought 'The Hoff'.

Then I went to the next page and saw all your answers.

Have to be a bit quicker eh.....

Yes I remember Kitt the car. This morning when I read that the bloke had been knighted I was not awake enough to think sideways (or hardly at all). I think you could all be correct but I will remain committed to my (possibly wrong) answer otherwise I could be accused of cribbing off all of you instead of just Thundercat like I usually do.
