Who are they?

It was Knots Landing and he is William Devane.
 
He has been in loads of things. Well done Zola it is indeed William Devine.
 
Think back to the early 70s. He played a private detective on an American TV series. He was an actor,director and was known for his voiceovers as much as his acting.He wasn't a Wee Willie,he was a Big Willie. (Carrying on with Izzzi's theme.) He was also a producer. No longer with us.
 

Oh I used to love watching him in Cannon.
It is William Conrad.

Canadian - American actor and comedian. The pic is of him in his 2nd film role which was apparently the forerunner to Star Trek. (1956)
He was known for his deadpan comedy which made him famous in a few landmark films in 1980 - 1994.
Made 111 films form 1955- 2011. And numerous TV shows too. No longer with us.
