Why can't type 1 take byetta?

Byetta delays the arrival of glucose from digestion and suppresses the release of glucagon.
Both of these actions would leave a type 1 at serious risk of hypo.
Byetta also stimulates insulin production, an action that would be wasted on a type 1.
