Why did I do that?

I ate a whole 170 gram bar of Toblerone. I am now completely out of ketosis. Why am I so stupid? I had more carbs yesterday than I would normally have in 5 days. I kind of hoped my BG would be horrendous to stop me doing it again, but it was 6.2. I need my mouth taping shut!
 
It's Easter and you wouldn't be human if you didn't have a blip now and then. Put it behind you and move onwards and upwards
 
It was from the stash of treats I bought for my kids. Now they will have to cut one bar in half. I will have to pretend I only bought one :silent:
 
Drink loads of water and get back on the wagon. We all do it sometime and the real challenge is to just to get back on course straight away.
Bet it was yummy though! :lol:

Never mind, just keep going. And anyway, you've done so well you deserve at treat at Easter! :thumbup:

MH is a chocolatier, although he hasn't been near the chocolate room since diagnosis. Can't blame him, but hope he's feeling more like making some come Christmas time when we make most of our sales. I did get the temperer out on Thursday and set about making five huge milk chocolate bars and one white one for Easter gifts, also made some organic chocolate buttons for my great-niece. Good fun!

To test the temper of the chocolate, I put out a tiny blob and watch it to see how quickly and smoothly it sets. Once I was satisfied that it had set properly I popped the set blob in my mouth and....eewwwww! Here's me, craving chocolate, and I find I've completely gone off the texture (I'm not a milk chocolate fan anyway) but this was cloying. And it's one of the best Belgian milk chocolates available. Oh well, not a bad thing.

I've discovered I'd rather have fruit. MH has got some chocolate raisins, left over from #1 Son's bar, and he's limiting himself to four or five an evening.

There is no way I could be good with such temptation Julia. Of all things, chocolate is my real downfall. I only like milk and white chocolate, but I do have a bar of dark to make your mousse recipe for today. I had better get on with that, not that I deserve it
 
The best way to go off chocolate is to work with it day in, day out. Last year I was up until all hours making more stock in the run up to Christmas. You get sick of it very quickly.

I have mousse to make today too. I have to confess to pinching a mouthful of bubblegum flavoured millions last night...yum!
