So. All day I have tried to eat no carb. No breakfast. Lunch salad (rocket pepper tomato onion) good ham and some cheddar. Dinner green beans mange tout and steak pie without pastry. Blood glucose now 16. Any ideas why? Been keeping to carb less than 20 last couple of weeks. Why won't my blood glucose come down? Im on metformin 500 twice daily. Any suggestions? welcome.
Can I ask if your blood glucose is consistently high, or if it has risen to 16 after your meal?
If it has risen, can you tell us what it was before you ate?
How many times a day are you testing. To get a better picture of what is happening you really need to be testing before meals and 2 hours afterwards as just randomly testing doesn't really tell you anything.
