Why is my boyfriend so distant?

I agree ..... you have some things to think over.

Hi Sweeeeetn, firstly congrats on the baby front, also that's the thing men just don't men up when they should do except a few of us, but don't worry you have us lot here to help and guide you on your newly found diabetes, you'll be absolutely fine.

@Sweeeeeeeeeet
Sorry about the boyfriend situation, but as you say "no use in crying over spilt milk".
What you need to do is get your head round the fact of your D diagnosis and how to cope with it and find a new partner who can look beyond the D and see you for the real person that you are and love that person.
Good luck with the adventure of finding that lucky guy

Hi, just read this and I am so sorry you have been dumped, well, I wont say what I would like to regarding your now ex but it's his loss. I just cant believe a person would do that, sad
You have enough to be going on with, taking care of yourself and your diabetes is the most important thing right now.
Look after yourself and you never know, one day a nice guy may come along, love you for who you are and see diabetes as just a small part of your life. There is so much more to us than diabetes
Good luck and all the best X

So did you plan this baby? Obviously he didn't, but did you?

I am a woman, many years ago I had a boyfriend who was epileptic. I left him because I didn't want the hassle. I obviously didn't really love him, so we were better off without each other. I think you will find this is the case with you too.

Hi I just come back to this thread & read the news.. What a bummer.. Don't blame it on the D though..

My granny was diagnosed type 1 63 years ago at age 19 she went on to have 4 sons, two of which were twins.
My granny's sister who doesn't have diabetes couldn't have children.

So diabetes doesn't mean you can't have children.
And with a change of diet an the insulin/medication available these days, you can still have a Normal Long Heath Life

I know you younguns do things differently these days but...................

A guy I knew was dumped this way by text.. He marched into the next room where she actually was & punched the wall..
