Will I have an early scan?

Hi I've been diagnosed type one for around 2 months now and just found out I'm about 5 weeks pregnant. I have my first diabetic antenatal appointment on Tuesday just wondering if anybody knows if I'll get an early scan? Thank you xxx

I cannot answer your questions other than to say that mums with diabetes are closely monitored.

Congratulations @Sammorgan16 My first scan was at around 8 weeks. From what I understand 5 weeks may be too early to see anything but I could be wrong. Maybe call them and find out? If you are due to have a scan they'll want you to drink a pint of water.

Should of said pint of water if I remember correctly an hour before scan

I had my first scan at 7 weeks but they said they can not pick anything

Hi sammorgan16 congratulations! I think it depends where you live as I didn't have my first scan until 12 weeks x

I had my first antenatal diabetic appt today but it was only with the diabetes team & didn't see an obstetrician as I'm only meeting my GP tomorrow for 1st time & it has to go through them apparently.

When I was pregnant I got a scan at 7 weeks
