There's a light touch therapy called Bowen Therapy which helps with restless legs and cramp, don't know if it would help but it's worth a try. If you can't get to a Bowen therapist you could try this. Either you or your partner should feel for the middle line of your calf ( where the 2 muscles that make up your calf meet ). Start just under the back of your knee and with your fingertips on each muscle along the central line, GENTLY move your hand so that the muscle rolls slightly forward, first one hand then another, moving down towards the ankle. Don't run over the tendon at the back of your ankle. Repeat 3 times. As long as you keep it gentle you can't do any damage.
