I've just been to see my DSN
who is an absolute darling and calls me by my first name. I had made the appointment when the GP gave me a scare about my kidneys and Metformin.
I needed some reassurance.
IGOT IT She says I DON'T have KIDNEY disease and The doctor has got a bee in his bonnet( he's a Scotsman  ) and the lab has changed how they send out results and mine were normal. Also blood pressure is good, for age and all 140/80. She's sure my stalled weight is muscle buildup. Waist size is down. Weight today in winter clothes is same as it was in June in cotton.
I just knew I'd come home feeling better.
She agrees that it's not a good idea to pencourage overweight T2s to eat plateloads of pasta.
I tolf her about this forum and about the newbies who get a diagnosis, a prescription and instrufctions to see a nurse in a number of weeks. She says she gets them straight away.
