Yes they can,but if unjustified you can take further action for wrongful dismissal.can they dismiss me for sick time ..
You could also contact your local job centre and they will put you in the right direction.If you are disabled and your employer dismisses you for taking time off sick for a reason connected with your disability, your employer could be breaking the law. You may be able to make a complaint to an employment tribunal for disability discrimination.
