Worried about ketoacidosis

I'm not sure this mediciation is working, i was just going to have someting to eat and they're on 20.5
flipping ridiculous this is.

That reminds me @miffli,

please mention your weight loss to your healthcare professionals, when you see them.
Rapid weight loss is often reported by diabetics when their blood glucose levels are too high (as yours are), and is the result of the kidneys filtering the excess glucose from the out of the blood, via the kidneys, into the urine. Sometimes the same patients report UTIs and thrush because of all the glucose in the urine.
It causes the rapid weight loss that is often used as a sign of out of control blood glucose.

Telling your healthcare professionals about your weight loss will be another piece of evidence that they need to give you the care you need to bring your blood glucose down.

Well that rings very true, hence the cloud formations and what have you in my urine, i'm wondering how long it can take for the new meds to start working to see if they bring my levels down, it's got beyond ridiculous.

I didn't realise, i thought it was only a year so that's useful information, Thank you. x

Miffli - My OH's daughter is also a cancer survivor (scarily around 10 years now - where does the time go?). Initially she seemed to be always having C-related appointments, but now she is seen annually, or earlier if she has concerns.

It is a mixed blessing that she works in the NHS and regularly works with the surgeon who did the business for her. No escape, but equally, easy access, so we all count her blessings.

In that appointment, I would certainly mention your diabetes bloods have been realaly whangy of late, and hopefully they'll give you a really good going over.

Fingers crossed for you Miffli. You could do with catching a break.
