worried mum 3year old complaining of eye pain

Please if anyone could help me my son who was diagnosed Feb 2013 type 1 at 18 months old now 3 yrs he has been doing ok and has just started nursery. However the past couple of weeks he has been complaining of eye pain he he keeps rubbing his eye and saying it hurts and crys last night around 5 he woke up crying about his eyes I tested him he was 7.2.I am so worried about my little boy it's Saturday I can't a hold of the doc should I take him to a walk in. He is playing now and seems content I am just so so worried. Please help

you should be able to contact a Doctor, at any time

Yes if you can't contact your doctor do take your little boy to a walk in centre or A&E your son is T1 so no one is going to think you are being an over fussy mum. Let us know how you get on

@Yaz, I will second what Annie says. Eyes are so important in our lives. An eye specialist is what is called for here (have been around them all of my life - sadly ...).

So, next time he complains, get up and go ... - and it might well be that it is only a local irritant, but your mind would be relieved ...

If the pain is so bad that the boy is waking up crying then you should take him to your local A & E department asap.
 
Thank you all so much for your help I am new to this forum Iv had a long day i did take him to A &E they checked and told me to go to the eye hospital. They put a dye in his eye and looked through a slit lamp he has some bacteria on his eyelash which could be causing the pain. Sterile water and warm compression all good thank god. Thank you all for your encouragement I needed it.
