Hi all just wondered if i could have some more of all youre excellent advice haha.
i picked up a cough from my boss on Tuesday and it really wasn't that bad until today when i struggled for breath and swallowing causes great discomfort ( like I'm swallowing shredded glass) anyway at work tonight i had a particularly bad coughing spurt and ended up coughing up blood. This has never happened to me before even with other bad coughs and I'm quite worried and don't know what to do?
Any help is as always appreciated

Hello, sorry to hear you're feeling rough. Worth a trip to Dr or at least pharmacy if you coughed up bit of blood. Good to keep the throat nice and lubricated with warm drinks.

Take care, can you take things a bit easier till you feel a bit better?
 
Sometimes a bad coughing spell can cause a small bleed, and in itself it's nothing to worry about . But it sounds as if you are having a bad time of it, difficulty breathing, swallowing etc so I would advise you see your GP anyway.

If you caught it from your boss, he or she can hardly complain about you having time off

It might be an idea to ring the NHS helpline or go to A&E
