Wrong insulin help

I have just noticed that I have got the wrong insulin in my pen.it was levemir instead off novo rapid for the last 2 days what do I do have injected about 30 units of levemir

How have your blood sugars been Robert over the last 2 days? How much Levermir do you normally give yourself every day and how much novo rapid on average per day. Maybe a bit more information will help and someone can offer a bit kore advice. I would have thought that your blood sugars will have been all over the place?
 
I guess the question at this point is how much active insulin do you have on board and when will it be exhausted.

It's all U100 inulin - it just works at a different speed.
 
Yes they have been going up and was wondering why. I normally take 12 units of Levemir and about 20 to 25 of novo rapid I have not been well for the last few days so just put it down to that is why my levels are going up

Well, first of all don't take anymore Levemir tonight.

I'd try and eat about half the carbs you injected for and test before you go to bed; be prepared to eat the other half then or correct unaggressively if high.

I'd also set your alarm for 2:00 am to check.

You may be stacking long acting so watch out for that; better cautious than risk hypos at night.

Thanks I will do that and I have marked the boxes the insulin come in so I no what is what
No wounder I have not been right for the last few days thanks for the help
