Is there any interest here in developing a more integrated xDrip? I'll have some time, cash & a nice new Altium DXP licence to lay out a PCB & get it made.
Is anyone interested in helping write a wish list /spec we can work to. I would also very much like this to be an open-source project.
I don't have the technical knowledge to contribute but it's an interesting idea.
Perhaps join the Facebook pages, Nightscout UK & CGM in the Cloud where I've seen people discuss something similarish.
Also you might find this technical discussion of the Wixel code & wiring: https://github.com/jstevensog/wixel-sdk/blob/master/apps/xBridge2/xBridge2.pdf
All open source.
The problem I see is they're using an IC which is marked as "not for new designs" by TI. This would appear to be an excellent opportunity to bring out a new issue of PCB using the latest ICs and adding the all the wishlist from the previous version. If anyone here has requests, NOW is the time to say
Wow, I think this is the best advert I've seen for dexcom and cgms. I love a system you can hack, especially getting readings to your phone. I want one. @DunePlodder are you still getting 20+ days out of a sensor?
Are you using the xDrip as your primary reader?
