Hello @paperlady1946 and welcome.healthy old lady...no indications of anything...dental work..prednisone paks x2, BAM blood sugar 248..immediately started low cal..low carb...little sugar diet..pumped up my already active exercisse program..awaiting doc visit...at least I now know what caused this and do not have to fear for my daughter's predisposition..still seekng answers...
Thanx for the info..hoping to avoid insulin(hate needles...have to chase myself all over the house to check sugarsLOL)..hoping for metformin..and am lookin gin to Chromium treatment..I just have high numbers right now no matter what I do..except for that bacon..it brought it down to 150...go figure...at least this **** keeps me on my toes...3 hrs at grocery yesterday..ughit could easily have been the steroids thats set it off. are you trained in insulin adjustment because there is a real risk of hypos if you dont manage your insulin very carefully whilst on the lchf diet. with a bit of luck you may be able to come off insulin. it depends on you and your body.
