If you are hooked on a benzodiazepine the following may be of help from someone who was firmly hooked on Ativan
First and most important- after a certain length of time the effects of the drug are NIL, side effects however continue, SO I WAN'T TO STOP.
This is how I did it. Take one pill and one sharp knife and shave a little dust off the first pill and wash it away and then take the pill. Do the same each day for a week.
The next week shave off two puffs of dust and take the pill.......... You can see that it is going to be a long job, but so what, if you have been taking three a day for ten years
As a method of treatment, it worked for me although it did take a year. The doc said three weeks!
I noticed no withdrawal symptoms, lets face it one puff of dust less per day, its not exactly cold turkey.
If I help one person it was worth writing this.
