Watching a programme from last night called Tales from the Tour Bus about bands travelling from gig to gig and there was a bit about Jimi Hendrix which reminded me about Mr Chris friend Richard who used to be a photographer with a music mag in the late 60"s and he gave me one of his Hendrix pics. Anyway he phoned earlier to ask if it's open mic at the Coalie this Weds. Is it the first Weds of the month next week?NOOOOOO. What is so difficult to remember? It's the first Weds, not the 2nd not the 3rd not the last (which is always Lynchpin playing) it's the FIRST, FIRST, FIRST Weds of the month. Don't *?%£$***£ ask me again. There, that's better.Lets jog your memory Chris, something at home, on the news, radio, outside, newspapers, neighbours, hubby,or something on here ??
Thank you so much for your further comments Fallgal.I feel for you. I suffered the same for about five years or more. It completely wrecks your life. I am much better now; lowering my BG helped a LOT (and also helped my feet/neuropathy), which of course also helped me to sleep better! I hope it gets much better for you as well.
Hi Willie, have you been assessed for fibromyalgia, the lack of sleep and foggy brain, fatigue...... I have it too.....have a look on fibromyalgia. Co.UK and check out the symptoms......
I hope tonight is a better one for you, take care Willie X
Well I suppose i shouldn't scream about anything but after having a CT scan of colon and all clear then a camera down throat all clear i get a message to say i need two iron infusions and to see the specialist again because have a nodual on bottom of right lung .... screamssssssss
Is that a scream of joy I hearI was all set to have a really good scream on here earlier, as i was feeling very grotty this morning, and overslept and missed the chance to buy some craft goodies that I really wanted from the Create and Craft TV show, as by the time I was awake and with it, they'd sold out. As these were something not readily available in the UK, my scream was going to be humungous - upset glucose levels make me seriously extra peevish and not very nice to be near... But a long and determined search on my friend Google this evening turned them up on a German(!!) crafts website (which was kind enough to also have an English version), and I've been able to order most of what I was coveting. So I'm doing a little happy dance instead.

Sorry you had to give up driving. I learnt to drive at 50 so I wouldn't get stuck in the house....had my hips replaced which helped too. Last week my wrists and elbows started giving me gyp big time...under some control with painkillers but dread the day I have to give up driving....Thank you so much for your further comments Fallgal.
Yes, it wrecks your life for sure. It takes a very understanding better half or partner
to live with someone with this problem. It's prevented me from socialising or even
simply going messages with my wife. I used to take her shopping in the car, however
I reluctantly had to give up driving last year. It was a mobility car. I was to renew it last
March but my legs were becoming just too painful when driving and I was worried I'd
never be able to brake in time in the event of an emergency stop.
I think we just halve to keep reminding ourselves there's always some
poor folks dealing with severe problems far in excess than ours.
It's still a bloomin' nuisance though. lol
Regards
willie x
Hi again Sable_Jan.
Thank you for the hint and your link that I've been unable to view just yet.
Fibromyalgia, gosh it never crossed my mind. An old pal's partner once suffered it.
He mentioned it caused her a lot of pain.
I do have a lot of pain in my body, but the sources have all been identified.
After I manage to read your article, if it strikes chord I'll have a word with me old doctor.
I need to make an appointment with him anyway.
I appreciate you finding the link and posting it for me.
Halve a pleasant Sunday.
willie. x[/

Bit off-piste, but here are the Uke Jam from earlier today, serenading the participants. The two people taking a bow at the end are members of the Jam who were running but who stopped for a quick strum (oo-er, Missus) on their way round. The whirring sound that you can hear is the Ramones spinning in their respective graves.....The weekend is the time you have a nice lie-in, right?
Up at the crack of dawn this morning because Mrs hay-char had to take a friend of ours to the Saints vs Spurs game at St Mary's, which was an early kick-off. Now been informed that we're rising at 7.00 tomorrow morning (well, today, actually) because she is a member of Southampton Uke Jam, and they're playing to spectators and runners in the Southampton Marathon and she's got to get there before they close all the roads.
Lie-in? My @r$e!
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
My friends son is in a West County band called codex alimentarius. Not my thing at allBack in the late 90's while recording an album with the band I was in at the time. We borrowed an old Vox? guitar amp said to be used by Hendrix..
It caught fire while in session & had to be dragged outside. While it smouldered I took a "poleroid" of it...
I used to be in a band called "Lynchpin" Lol. We were the West country's answer to Slipknot. But ugly enough to not need the masks...
The Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain have a lot to answer for!The weekend is the time you have a nice lie-in, right?
