Rest day today. I have still managed just over 15,000 steps. But did have a very nice lunch of olives and focaccia with a really good green tea at The Bicycle Shop.
Yes. That's one of the reasons I like to keep mine low. It seems that there is more concerns regarding low blood sugars. It's been said to me that I must be hypo all the time - I'm not! It was also said that at my horribly advanced age I might fall down the stairs whilst hypo.
Personal best at...
Parkrun always spikes my BG. Last 2 half marathons I managed with nothing to eat at all. Run many 10k's. Always spikes BG. But riding the bike, particularly for big mileages, less insulin and lots of food. Perhaps I am a cyclist and not a runner?
It does seem like the NHS are prioritising others. I run with a GP who thinks it's all slightly odd regarding those that are well controlled. Have you been told to increase your HbA1c?
5 mile easy bimble with the club. I had my usual post early morning run breakfast of croissant (Riverford croissant - the absolute best), hairy kiwi and quark. A real treat. Don't like cake but any pastries.....
It looks like the NHS (bless 'em) are prioritising the right people. I appreciate that I am certainly not a priority. It might be that I would find it all a bit of a distraction. But I might live a lot longer and just get one because I'll be the only person without. I can wait!
Sometimes though I think being stuck in my ways makes control easier for me. I still like to eat at the same times. I don't miss meals. I eat very healthily.I rarely eat things like cake. I have always exercised a lot because it makes me feel better.
