    Signature

    8.3% (67) HbA1c, 81KG (BMI 21.7) when diagnosed 1st February 2017 (age 59).
    5.5% (37) HbA1c, 73KG (BMI 19.5) 18th April 2017 ("reversed" to non-diabetic level; doctor says: "Excellent job!").
    4.9% (30) HbA1c, 71KG (BMI 19.0) 1st August 2017 (doctor says: "Wow!!!").
    4.9% (30) HbA1c, 70KG (BMI 18.7) 13th November 2017 ("stability" at a safe level, goal set by my doctor).

My doctor is the hero! On his advice: No meds, low-carb (30g/day). Daily 3-mile walk + 30mins home exercise. I don't use a blood-glucose meter. Before diagnosis: Decades on "low-fat" diet but liberally consumed rice, pasta, potatos, bread, beer. Skinny, but had prominent "beer paunch" at diagnosis even though BMI was "only" 21.7 -- waistline was 40" but is now 34". Height 6-foot-4 (193cm).
