    T1 diabetes in the family?

I was diagnosed T1D at 37 (2 years ago) and zero other T1D in my family anywhere. A couple with T2D.

    DIABETE-EZY

I use the small one and it's fabulous. Room for everything if injecting. I started pump in January and haven't upgraded to the bigger one yet (been waiting for the wipes to be back in stock) so currently use small case for all things testing and carry a separate toiletry bag with set change and...

    Insulin, diet and weightloss.

I was diagnosed T1D in October last year. I started eating low carb paleo inspired in September last year about a month or so before diagnosis and I have lost nearly 20 kgs. I eat between 40-100g a day, I think my average is around 60g. I am eating organic and not processed and I feel fantastic...

So bleeping angry with my gp!!!!!!

Wow, I am so sorry you have to deal with this. What a terrible system! Makes me very thankful to be in Australia where I can buy as many subsidised test strips as I need at any time.

    Best way to lose weight?

I have lost nearly 10 kgs since starting on my pump in January. I was very worried about gaining as I'd heard those rumours too. It's rubbish (or at least was for me, thank goodness). I eat low-ish carb (40-90g per day) and keep my calories to 1200-1600 per day and don't exercise a real lot...

    Hypo awareness

I'm not pregnant, but aiming for the same targets as you and I had a 2.9 this week that I was unaware of. I usually feel hypos at around 3.8-4.0. A bit worried but assume it is the tight control as my diabetes nurses warned me about it and were encouraging me to keep levels a bit higher.

    Now the hard work begins

I got my pump in January and it took me 7 highly frustrating weeks of testing and trial and error to get myself into range and sorted out. I absolutely love my pump now and my HbA1c will come in below 6, hooray! The teething is worth it. Good luck :)

    Lows

More lows overnight, so does not appear to be going away. I have no idea why my insulin requirements would be decreasing when I would assume they should be going up as my remaining beta cells are killed off. For now I have dialled down my basal by10% across the board on my pump and hope that...

    Lows

Hello, I have been in the background on the forum since not long after my type 1 diagnosis about 6 months ago (I am 37 and in Australia). It has been incredibly helpful to me many times over. I have a question.... I have recently started getting a lot more lows over the last 2 weeks and in...
