    DVLA Revoked My Driving Licence

I think a valid point has been raised here, which was in the details of the letter. That being did you need help? the answer would appear to be no. Yet you ticked yes. IIf the DVLA was out of order, then yes that should be highlighted, petitions signed, maybe a static demo or two outside the...

Does T1 make you more handsome

I wouldn't have thought so, she's a T1 she doesn't need that sort of thing. Another example "Lezzles" who posted before me, I'm thinking of starting the phrase "Face of a type one diabetic" as in, "She was stunning, I swear she had the face of a type one diabetic." Whose with me one this?

Does T1 make you more handsome

Of course it's related, just look at Sharon Stone, you don't think she looks so good due to make up do you? No of course not, it's all down to diabetes. I think someone may have slipped something into the insulin as a kind of compensation when it was being produced. Nice touch if that is the...

    Pain

Quite possibly. I'm in almost constant pain, when I'm not in actual pain, I'm just very uncomfortable. I've been T1 for 26 years and haven't had very good control in that time, From what i recall, the doc said it could be to do with poor circulation.

What to do when you forget to bring...

I imagine there shouldn't be an issue with being able to keep insulin at the college. The practicality of that may depend on how you take it, ie if you use a pen, you may not have a spare that you want to leave at college, however if you use needles and vials, then maybe it'd be possible to...

    Flu Jab

I don't have flu jabs, never have probably never will. mind you that is somewhat due to the belief that if I get flu and die, I'll likely not have to wake up staggering about in a daze till I manage to get some insulin in me again, so probably not the best reason for not having the jab. It's a...

    Diabetes does kill

A very sad situation, and a lesson I hope those that either attempt to rebel against, or deny their diabetes will learn something from.

    Tight foreskin!

I haven't had a test for some time now, so really need to go get a check up, it was about 11 last time it was checked, but that was a while ago now, and yes I fully recognise that that has played a part, if not being the main cause of the thrush. One problem I have is poor memory, maybe down to...

Would you prefer to be on insulin injections or on a pump?

Re: Would you prefer to be on insulin injections or on a pum Thanks for that CarbsRok, I've only recently started looking into pumps, and from what you've described, I believe that was what i'd been looking at, however it would seem I'd misunderstood what it actually was that the pump did. It...

    Tight foreskin!

Ok I'm going to stop posting silly things now and get on the topic of wonky willies Hello everybody, my name is Millerite and I have a wonky willy. Mine was caused by thrush. (yes blokes get it too) and from a recent poll taken by a number of ex girlfriends, along with the common cold and...

    Can't Cope With Other People

If depression is directly connected with what you're going through, then I'd suggest getting that addressed. I don't know you and am not a doctor, so am not about to start talking meds etc. What I will say, is that I have had depression and didn't find that it helped at all with my diabetes...

Would you prefer to be on insulin injections or on a pump?

Re: Would you prefer to be on insulin injections or on a pum This is something that I've been giving some thought into lately. I saw some pumps on this site, and really liked the concept of one, which measures tissue sugar levels and then injects an amount of insulin based on what the sugar...

    Kindle and Eyesight

Well from the responses to this thread, it would seem that Kindle could well be worth a go. I had to stop reading a few years back now, as I got to the point where I could just about manage a page before not being able to make the words out, and didn't really fancy taking over a year to finish a...
